“How do we bring practical solutions to solve the climate crisis while making people’s lives better?” Finding answers to this question posed by Matt Peterson, CEO and President of the LA Cleantech Incubator (LACI), represents the shining light and the purpose of the LA nonprofit.

Located in the beautiful La Kretz Innovation Campus in downtown LA, LACI is home to a community of people that wake up every day and work on finding solutions to our greatest environmental problems.

LACI’s strategy can be summed up as combining innovation, partnerships, and community building to create an inclusive green economy. Their priority areas are zero emissions transportation, 100% clean energy, and smart, sustainable cities.

Remaining true to their theme of inclusivity, the LA Cleantech Incubator has created a welcoming atmosphere that is open to people interested in visiting their facility.

They offer regular walking tours where you can tour the building and grounds, watch presentations about ways to save money and conserve water and energy, and soak in the energy of the place.

The LADF allocated $10,000,000 in New Markets Tax Credits to help fund the creation of the La Kretz Innovation Campus, a cleantech-industry hub where entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists and policy makers can interact to promote and support the development of clean technologies. The project entailed a substantial rehabilitation of an industrial building in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) is the primary tenant.
